This season, we will be working withKatherine Deumling of Cook With What You Have to provide recipes for your weekly produce. CSA Members will have access to 700+ recipes on a designated CSA site on the Cook With What You Have site. Once logged-in you will have 24-hour access to a deep and searchable archive, illustrated by photos of the finished dishes. The site is primarily organized by vegetable and additionally includes categories such as “CSA heavy hitter” which features recipes and ideas that are suited to a wide variety and quantity of vegetables so that you can make quick use of most any combination of things you have. This site for CSA members will be updated weekly with new recipes and ideas as well as photos.
Katherine Deumling studied food and culture in Italy and Mexico (on a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship) and grew up in Germany. With years of cooking in various parts of the world (and quite of few of those in Oregon blessed with our unbelievable bounty) she has a good sense of what works together, some of the tricks you need to make the simplest ingredients sing, and mostly how to feed hungry mouths with the least amount of stress and the most amount of satisfaction.
