I’ve been doing lots of  bug picking these past few weeks. However, between the local deer appetite and the many persistent insects, I’ve lost a substantial number of plantings despite my efforts. Next year I’ll be paying more attention to preventative care…

Because I’ve lost so many of my full-grown plants, I decided to experiment with a mixture of baby salad greens. It’s a random assortment of all available baby greens: Arugula, Red Romaine, Swiss Chard, Endive, Mustard Greens and Spinach. Aside from being colorful, I think it’s simply delicious!

(let’s just hope the folks over the mountain agree)
