Feeling overwhelmed with all of the unfinished projects and day-to-day tasks like . . . weeding . . . this morning, I decided to spend the afternoon doing something a bit more creative. After gathering handfuls of Chives, Salvia, and Yarrow, I cut a piece of bamboo and made a colorful drying arrangement for the kitchen. I felt completely refreshed by the time I finished- a little creativity always lifts my spirits!
CSA Members: This weeks share includes tatsoi and sage in case you’d like to try the included recipe: Brown Butter Pasta with Tatsoi. Or you could try this or this or this. And, if anyone would like a piece of bamboo for drying flowers through the season, let me know- I have plenty of it!
Have a great week!
Elizabeth
What a great way to refresh… do something creative! So often we (I) continue to slog along trying to will power my way to the end of… whatever activity/goal/objective… till it really has become a task/chore/work… and the joy is lost.
Thanks for sharing.
I look forward each week to reading your blog. Your pictures are beautiful and I love how you share the joys of agriculture without even mentioning all the work involved in it. Keep up the good work!
