Planting Seeds

I got a few things planted in the greenhouse today, the rain dancing on the roof while I pressed seeds into dirt = #happiness . . . These little Gomphrena seeds were my favorite, a variety called Strawberry Fields.

I planted a few other varities of Gomphrena seeds, along with some Strawflowers, Common Chamomile, Amaranth (Love Lies Bleeding), Kohlrabi (Kossak & Azur Star), Collard Greens, Broccoli, and Kale (Lacinato Dinasaur Kale & Dwarf Green Curled Kale). Tomorrow I hope to plant some cabbage (Red Express), Craspedia (Sun Ball) flowers, and a few more Strawflowers. Maybe some purple kale too.

That must have given you a great sense of accomplishment and pride as well as the knowledge, that even though the wind is howling, Spring is right around the corner!

  3. It’s the end of August and I’m already dreaming of starting seeds in the spring. What is it with gardening that makes us so eager to take on so much work? lol

    1. Indeed! Because it’s nourishing work I guess šŸ˜‰
