Spring Rains
The CSA starts in one week! Thanks to the recent rains, the plants are growing strong. As are the weeds It’s a good thing that our interns start next week! We’re looking forward to a great season. Elizabeth
Springtime Happiness
The rhubarb is up, spinach, radishes, peas, arugula, and ovation greens have germinated, and the seedlings in the greenhouse are still going strong – it’s an exciting time of year! We planted 20 pounds of onion sets last week. Carrots, parsnips, and leeks too. I hope to get our potatoes in the ground next! And…
A Few Seedlings 🌱
Purple Basil Globe Amaranth The seedlings in the greenhouse are growing beautifully! The shelves are filled with kale, basil, broccoli, tomatoes, eggplant, pepper, lettuce, kohlrabi, collards, and a few types of flowers and other greens. Planting Seeds
I got a few things planted in the greenhouse today, the rain dancing on the roof while I pressed seeds into dirt = #happiness . . . These little Gomphrena seeds were my favorite, a variety called Strawberry Fields. I planted a few other varities of Gomphrena seeds, along with some Strawflowers, Common Chamomile, Amaranth…
