We just spent a wonderful morning harvesting asparagus, spinach, Ovations Greens, arugula, cilantro, oregano, green garlic, chives, and radishes for the first week of our Community Supported Agriculture Program. Spring Rains

The CSA starts in one week! Thanks to the recent rains, the plants are growing strong. As are the weeds It’s a good thing that our interns start next week! We’re looking forward to a great season. Elizabeth 

Springtime Happiness

The rhubarb is up, spinach, radishes, peas, arugula, and ovation greens have germinated, and the seedlings in the greenhouse are still going strong – it’s an exciting time of year! We planted 20 pounds of onion sets last week. Carrots, parsnips, and leeks too. I hope to get our potatoes in the ground next! And…

A Few Seedlings 🌱

Purple Basil Globe Amaranth The seedlings in the greenhouse are growing beautifully! The shelves are filled with kale, basil, broccoli, tomatoes, eggplant, pepper, lettuce, kohlrabi, collards, and a few types of flowers and other greens. Outside, we’ve planted peas, spinach, arugula, radishes, ovation greens, and some cilantro. There’s plenty more to plant once the beds…

Planting Seeds

I got a few things planted in the greenhouse today, the rain dancing on the roof while I pressed seeds into dirt = #happiness . . . These little Gomphrena seeds were my favorite, a variety called Strawberry Fields. I planted a few other varities of Gomphrena seeds, along with some Strawflowers, Common Chamomile, Amaranth…
