Oh, the joys of having an executive chef as a member of our CSA! Mike Mahr, i.e. Chef Extraordinaire, sent along some garlic scapes (pictured above) for me to share with the rest of you. I’ll distribute them in this week’s CSA share. If you’d like to give them a try sometime, the recipe is a mixture of Soy Sauce–sweet and regular, sherry wine, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes or paste, rice wine vinegar and water.
Boil and simmer till tender.
In the meantime, enjoy Mike’s generous offering!
